Strength and stability: that’s what defines heavy construction equipment. Up until this point, much of that strength and stability came from the weight of the machine.

However, that weight comes with a hefty price tag in the form of high transportation and energy costs.

Heavy construction equipment is, well, heavy, but it doesn’t have to be.

At CIP, we fabricate high-strength low-alloy steel (HSLA) multi-bend parts for heavy construction equipment such as:

  • Nuclear Handlers
  • Transporters

These parts are stronger than the industry standard, but are up to 25% lighter.

That means these machines weighs less, but have increased lift capacities and improved energy efficiency with no loss of strength.
